Marketing Coordinator - Full Time
The Village of Romeoville is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. The purpose of this position is to prepare and market public information regarding the department’s programs, events, facilities and other activities, as well as assist with the Village’s website and social media. Such marketing will consist of news releases, advertisements, e-news, social media, various publications, and more. The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development of marketing goals, customer service needs, program surveys, and various department promotions. The preparation of seasonal brochures, flyers, newsletters, certificates, tickets, passes and other printed materials is required. This position is instrumental in marketing the Village’s special events, including the annual festival (RomeoFest). The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the special events sponsorship program. Taking photos and video of programs and events is required. The hours for this position are generally 9:00am to 5:00pm; however, additional nights and weekends are required as needed for events and programs. Other duties may be assigned. A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or equivalent experience is required. Must be able to perform design and layout work. Experience with In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office is essential. Candidate must have experience and expertise in editing and writing. Photography experience preferred. This is a full-time, non-union position with excellent benefits including IMRF pension. Salary range is $59,000 to $69,000 depending on qualifications and/or experience.

Park Maintenance – Seasonal Part-Time
Award winning Recreation Department seeks detail minded, energetic individuals. The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is hiring seasonal staff for the upcoming 2019 season. Responsibilities will include: Ball field preparation, string trimming, playground repair and various park maintenance tasks. Employees are required to work Romeofest, August 1st thru August 4th 2019. Employment will be from April thru October, 35-40 hrs per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license. Starting rate of pay will be $10.00 per hour. If able to work evening hours such as 3pm to 9pm, please note. Ninja/Gymnastics Coach - Part time
The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, fitness enthusiast to help implement and instruct a new ninja program in the gymnastics department. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist with the instruction, coaching, and evaluation of participants; daily instruction and spotting; assist with preparation and set-up of ninja obstacles; assist with preparation of lesson plans; maintain accurate records; and follow all safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will use their creativity to create new obstacles and help grow the program. Hours are available for evenings and weekends. Day Camp Counselors - Part time
The Village of Romeoville is seeking Day Camp Counselors for Summer 2019! The ideal candidate is responsible, fun, energetic, level-headed and has a joy working with children. In this position, staff are responsible of planning and leading children aged 5-14 through a variety of daily activities from sports, group games, singing, arts n’ crafts, swimming, and field trips. Before & After School Care Positions - Part time

Youth Program (kids craft corner, art, photography, calligraphy, painting, STEAM, fishing, etc.) Instructors - Part time
The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a multitalented Youth Program Instructor. The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing a diverse set of youth general interest programs. Topics of instruction can include arts and crafts, drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, STEM, fishing, and more! Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the needs of different age groups and have experience working with children in an enrichment setting. Responsible for the operation and function of the Romeoville Recreation Center. Shifts are evenings and weekends. Duties and Responsibilities include: organize and control scheduled activities, i.e. set-up, clean-up of program and meeting rooms, light maintenance work such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and wiping down counters, mirrors, windows and sinks, open and secure facility in the proper routine, attend mandatory customer service and CPR training, attend monthly staff meetings, assist instructors in facility preparation for classes, assist the public with questions to insure success of all program events, customer relations, give assistance to the public regarding class registration, rental, Open Gym policies, game schedules, etc. supervise and take responsibility for Facility Attendants and their work performance, be available to work special events and programs, answer phones and take registration during receptionists’ lunch breaks. Child Care/Indoor Playground/Birthday Party Attendant
Responsible for providing child supervision for Romeoville Recreation Center participants for Child Care service. Duties and Responsibilities include: supervise children ages six months and up, act as the Indoor Playground Attendant and supervise participants of the Indoor Playground, create and lead child activities, enforce the policies and rules, cleaning, collecting entry fees, report accidents and incidents, inform parents of program policies and information, develop positive relationships with participants, follow the safety and emergency procedures, attend mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and events, coordinate and supervise party details, such as serving food and refreshments, present opening time and playtime, inform direct supervisor of needed party supplies, set up and cleaning the rooms used for parties, supervise children at the party.
