Summer Weather Information
CHIPPER SERVICE AVAILABLE AFTER STORMS
Once the Village has deemed a storm event as “major”, crews will be out with the chipper. If you have downed branches, place them at your curb and Public Works will pick them up the same day as your garbage day.
POWER OUTAGES
Village residents experiencing a ComEd outage, can call 1-800-EDISON1, go to ComEd.com, or use the ComEd App to report their outages. Residents may also register for outage alerts to receive information of outages affecting the area as well as outage status updates. COOLING CENTERS
Summer can mean extreme temperatures. Please take steps to keep yourself and loved ones safe. The Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Rd., is open as a cooling center Mon.-Fri. 9:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m. and Sat.-Sun. 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If you require a cooling center after these hours, please contact the Romeoville Police Department at 815-886-7219.
BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR
The Village of Romeoville would like to encourage everyone to be a good neighbor. Think about neighbors and friends who do not have air conditioning and ask if they have transportation to a Romeoville cooling center. Let neighbors know ahead of time if you are willing to help them if they do not have the ability to cut their grass or clear any downed branches from a storm. Check with these neighbors after a storm to be sure they are okay and ask if they need assistance.
WATER CONSERVATION ORDINANCE THROUGH SEPT. 10TH
